July 25-28, 2004:
American Probation and Parole Association’s 29th Annual Training
Institute, Orlando, Florida. Contact Kris Chappell at (859) 244-8204 or
kchappel@csg.org for more information or download a brochure. This year, the National Youth Court Center would like to collect and post an online compilation of success stories from youth courts across the country. If you have a story that illustrates the way that your youth court program is serving your community or changing lives of the young people it serves, we’d like to hear from you. To send us your story, complete the submission form found in the Action Kit or submit your story online at http://www.youthcourt.net/12-month_campaign/2004_YC_Month/Serving_Communities.htm Deadline for submissions is August 1, 2004. Volunteer Hall of Honor As we have done the past two years, the National Youth Court Center will post a Volunteer Hall of Honor on its website where youth courts can nominate two volunteers (one adult and one youth) to be recognized for the outstanding contribution they make to their local programs. Nominations must be made by a youth court coordinator. To nominate your volunteers, go to http://www.youthcourt.net/12-month_campaign/2004_YC_Month/hall_of_honor.htm or complete the nomination form found in the Action Kit. The deadline for nominations is August 1, 2004.
